Fred is a video star this time!

Stumbled across this YT video from a show last month at the Cruise in at the Farm down in Bulls Gap, TN. At about the 5:00 mark, there's Fred basking in the sunshine. :-)

About this Mopar:

Year
1968
Make
Plymouth
Model
GTX
Thankfully, my bulbous arse isn't anywhere near to spoil the video, so bonus!
It's a really nice little show that the town hosts every month, with fundraising going
on for various worthy charities. Lots of cars at this show we don't normally see at
our own local Cruise-Ins, too.

Ed thanks for sharing looked like fun.Fred must of spread the word, thats why so many showed up.
It does seem that this year in particular, he's finally getting some notoriety. I've had
folks ask me about how he's doing even away from shows and such. :)

Fred looks good!! It's funny you name him Fred, my Father's name Is Freddie, I have his 67 Coronet R/T. R.I.P Pops!
Thanks and I'm very sorry for your loss. Losing ones' dad is probably right behind losing
mama as far as being hardest in life for sure....
My GTX got the name Fred because he's such a hodgepodge of parts (new and old), cobbling
and components that's he's assumed a sort of frumpy personality - everything works now,
but in his own way.
It reminded me of that character on I Love Lucy - Fred Mertz, the frumpy neighbor - so when
my wife wanted to give the car a name, that's what I came up with.
Fits, too. :)

Oh nice! Now I know the story behind the name.. Yes It was really have the first few years but driving Dad's R/T was a great help seeing that it sat 29 years in the back yard, I He did get to see come back together but not running, I missed it by 10 months.. So after that I took it my home, drove it daily, felt like it was me and him riding together, it's been 15 years now. It sits beside my 69 RR in the garage, my dad inspired the build.. I named my dad's 67 Coronet R/T (Pop)

That's a great story - and a great name. Thanks for sharing!

I still have my dad's 95 Dakota....nothing special....just a reg cab short box V6 that I tried to keep him from buying. Tried to steer him to a V8 model but he was looking for gas mileage. Dad, you ain't going to get it with a V6 unless you have some gearing in the rear end but he didn't listen. He never ordered a car in his life and always bought what was on the lot. He didn't have that 95 a month when he came over complaining about it. Well dad, tried to tell ya lol. I call it the Green Beater (emerald green). I'm not sentimental with it but it just won't quit running!

Now I wouldn't mind having his 69 440 New Yorker! He didn't keep it long because it was a lemon. Everything in that car went wrong except for the engine and trans. It was sentimental to me because it was the first car that I got to drive with 440 power. That engine didn't miss a lick either.

And that car show is what I like....out on the grass and every make and model is there!

Oh Nice, I remember first feeling the 440 power as a kid with my dad, he loved getting on it and street raced on the weekends across the state lines back in the early 80"s and late 70's..
