My '49 DeSoto S-13

Not an official 'B-Body' car, but is a medium sized Mopar.

About this Mopar:

I bought this car a few years ago, the guy I got it from over-stated the quality of work. The flathead 6 had been replaced with a 318/904 but retained the stock (low geared) rear end. The engine install was sloppy and mounted in the frame crooked. The wiring was hap hazard and part homemade and part mid 70s that came with the 318. The car has been converted to 12 volt and everything works. Max speed was about 55 mph. I have made many changes.
First thing I did was replace the DeSoto rear end with an 8-3/4 from a 67 Coronet, one legged with 2:76 gearing, now goes 70 mph at 3K on the tach. Was able to use the DeSoto mounts on the later rear end, along with the stock springs and replaced the shocks.
Here's a few shots of the dashboard, sweet wood grain paint.

Body looks solid. I like it.

What does the dash look like?

When is the 440 stroker going in?

As Spring has arrived, I will be installing front disc brakes from Scarebird, new firewall mounted dual power brake master cylinder and hanging pedal, also replacing the stock steering column with a Flaming River tilt column. The goal is to make it Hot August nights in Reno this year.
