I bought this car for my brother, who is a veteran and has a family and not much extra money for a mopar or anything cool like that. long story short. I'm gonna put it together some what to make it road worthy and drive it to South Carolina from Illinois with him. Hope to have a cool road trip and make some great memories with him. I 've got some great friends that are gonna help make happen and I know I can count on FBBO members for advice when I need it. So thanks in advance and more to follow

had an XV motorsports stage one suspension laying around so we got to work on putting it in. Rear springs, shackles and shocks are are in. brakes and front suspension are next.

still waiting on the brakes but mounted the rear wheels. started working on the front suspension. got a lot of parts ready to install.

Way to go, brothers helping brothers and a Vet to boot! I'm way up here in the Northwest but will answer any questions I can.

took a little ride to Michigan this weekend and got some bumpers from Detroit inc. he is great guy and helped me out so much. So I just wanted to say thanks to him. working on getting the front suspension back together. replaced all the bushings and bumpers. got the new spring hanger nuts and stiffing plates done. lost my side kick for now but still trying to move forward. thanks to all for the great comments

got some things done today and got more problems to, but she is on three out of four wheels. just gonna keep on truckin

Awesome thing your doing for your brother. Congrats. I wouldn't have my car in driving order without help from my brother. Enjoy your time together.

Sorry to be away for so long with no updates. Sadly the road trip is not going to happen. We will be taking the car to SC on the trailer. I have the front suspension, brakes, sway bar and head lights done. The engine and transmission are in. Still need to install the passenger side header, rear brakes and 3.91 gear. Going to try to get a drive shaft made this week. Only have about two more days to work on it before we leave. more to follow.......

So plans change as always. My brother flew out for labor day and we trailer the car to S.C.. we got lots of thumbs up along the way and a hero's welcome from his neighbors when we got there. It wasn't the road trip we had planned but the look in his eye's and the interest from all the people in his sub division made it all worth it. will post some pics from him continuing the restoration.
