What's it Worth ‘70 Coronet R/T vert on Hagerty auctions

I’ve had my eyes peeled for a ‘69 or ‘70 Coronet R/T convertible for several years.
Very little I’ve seen so far appealed to me.
This one sure looks good though. Too bad it’s 1500 miles away. I’m not buying anything I haven’t put eyes on, and traveling 1500 miles on short notice is a tough lift, as is doing that to consider bidding on a car, as opposed to making an offer or paying the ask on a for sale car.
I’ve got ideas on what this one is worth, but interested in others thoughts?

There’s a FK5 example at Mecum Indy next month, which is near me and I attend that event every year, but from the pictures that car doesn’t look like it meets my standards.

It appears maybe original paint?
Some wear through and thin spots in the paint, which would suggest original paint.
Sounds like the top is screwed up, budget $3500+ for a new top.
And the tires are ancient, so another 2000 or so for polyglas repos.

My old 70 R/T conv. sold last year, maybe 2 for 59K. It was all stock, original (except for some paint work) and 0 rust. 50 something miles on it. Very nice car.

This car reminds me of my third GTX, unrestored car with one older re-paint, zero bondo. I patched some minor rust down below after I bought it. Those trunk floor pictures would motivate me to buy a plane ticket if I was in the market.

A local friend of mine was selling a 70 a few years ago for $75K, which I’d falsely thought was a survivor.
When I gave it a close inspection, I found it had a fake fender tag and had been repainted a different color than original, evidence of bondo bodywork in right quarter and probably left, pitted trim, GM spatter paint in trunk, 35 year old tires, overcharging with battery acid splattering on inner fender. And more!
I took a hard pass, a month or so later he told me he’d sold it and got his 75K ask.

I was trying to figure out what Hanks Garage is thinking it might be a classic auto dealer.
Apparently they are a restaurant with a collection of muscle cars on display. I don’t see anything on them selling the cars.

An acquaintance used to tell me that mess....got his asking price and found out later that it was 1/2 that.....or more.

Hard to say, my friend seems pretty honest but who knows.
I don’t think he drops prices on his cars very much, he seems pretty “proud” of his stuff.
He has a 68 Charger R/T he’s been trying to sell for at least 4 years. I’m sure if he dropped the price, which is top dollar, 25% or so, it’d sell pretty quick.
His old coronet showed up at some out of state large shows with new tires, a new top and wheels not long after it sold.
Hopefully the buyer is happy. I’m happy to be still looking!
