18 spline value?

I'm thinking of taking out my 18 spline tranny and going back to an auto. The car was originally an auto. I'm going to sell the 18 spline and my hurst shifter that's about 1 year old. What I make should be able to get me the money for a 727, torque converter and a new shifter. I thinking about starting at 2000.00. Is this too much?

If that includes pedals, rods, z bar and everthing maybe. For trans and shifter does not sound close to reasonable but I am a tightwad.

Might I suggest you post the numbers on it here ? You might be able to reunite it with its original car. Good Karma in that.

Got $1800 for mine. Was a 59k piece in good condition with Hurst, linkage, and bellhousing. IIR. 1969.

A little on the high side,also depends on year,69 and back or 70 and later.
