"Most people are attached to their cars and are satisfied only if they're treated like babies." from the video at the 1:18 mark.

Ahhh, the good ole days!

Lots of cool 50s cars.

Back when a service/gas station
was a full service station

cool old video

my 1st job, outside of work/slave labor for my dad's construction co.
was at Full Service Shell, in Georgetown Ca. sophomore year & summer
starting for a whopping $1.65 an hr
I was making $3.05 an hr later
& extra perks (or extra $$$ piece work) for doing tires & tune ups,
Lube oil filter service
everyday after school till closing 9:00pm
or 7am-3pm in the summertime

& usually in early for weekends, doing mech. work (extra $$)

lots of logging trucks at the back pumps
they tipped well too

when it was football or track season,
I didn't work much weekdays during sports
it was 30+ miles away from school,
Paul the owner was really cool about my schedule
gave me hr's on the weekends
he'd often fill/gas up my 68 Charger R/T after work too
he'd let me take, take off tires too, I went thru rear tires like crazy :poke:
he was a cool boss

it was a great job for a teen
(even with shitty pay back then, it was the going rate)
