Hi everyone,

Decided to add a/c to my car as west oz is stinking hot and the car doesn't get driven much in summer here.

I've checked out some of the modern alternative, heat and a/c systems (my heater box is out of the car) and will go for something hidden under the dash.

My question for any1 with the knowledge on adding a/c to a '62 Dart/Polara is, " where to get the items such as pulleys, compressor brackets etc"?

If anyone can help point my in the right direction I'd be very grateful.

Classic Auto Air in Tampa Florida has a huge warehouse full of ac stuff. Lots of Mopar. Aftermarket they sell is ice cold too.

Thanx for the response Dennis

I already e-mailed these guys. They can't help with stuff for the '62 poly motor.

Taking all the air cond stuff out of my 64 Polara, with 318 poly, do not know what is missing, but have all brackets and most of the stuff. The guy I bought car from has the rest of the a/c parts he will give me, when he cleans out his shed. Might be able to help.....Thanks.

Is you car an LA series motor? Mine has the 318 polysphere...the 'wide block'. Not meaning to doubt your word, but I thought the stock '64 was an LA 318.

If you have the same motor I could well be interested in some of the stuff.

All the 318 in 64 were poly engines, up to 66. Yes I have all the brackets, compressor, condenser, heater box (soon to pull out) and whatever you might need, plus what ever the guy I bought the car from can come up with. Would make a deal on the whole setup, if you were interested. Thanks, Dennis.
