    1963 Plymouth Fury 4r base 318 CID 2bbl
It has a 15 gallon fuel tank.
Is it possible to put a 20 gallon fuel tank
on this vehicle to replace the 15 gallon
    fuel tank?
    Thanks

With the stock factory single tank strap setup I wouldn't think about it.

      Thank you ..
The tanks was rusted and I sealed it with Caswell tank sealer.
I am looking at buying another tank and thought maybe a 20 gallon tank would fit.
I've never owned anything as old as this vehicle and it looks like I have a lot of Intel to learn about it. I am obliged to you and if there are any other questions MW 413 I will look for you expertise .. Thanks again

I don't know of any B Body tanks that will fit your application stock. Thats not saying another year tank of 19 gallons could be retrofitted. The early B Bodies only have a single tank strap that works fine but later Chrysler did go to a 2 strap setup. I understand mainly because of government regulation as the 1 strap tanks were engineered to separate from the vehicle in a severe accident. (The government thought otherwise.) Stock 16 gallon repo tanks are readily available along with straps, insulation mats, and pick up tube/sending units. Just remember to calibrate your new fuel gauge pick up tube/sending unit to the tank before you bolt it all back together. Hope this helps.

Excellent.. I appreciate your time and knowledge. It's not often that sites you go to for help or guidance readily offer help.
It's usually a bad experience with attitudes
        and smart remarks or arrogance..
        I'm impressed with this site.
        Thank you, MW 413

I'm currently trying to find technical /shop manuals or any material that relates to
        This vehicle.
Does your knowledge of Mopars extend from early 60's to 70's ?
What experience do you have in engines?
I will try to post a few pictures of this vehicle if you are interested..
As In sure you know this vehicle has a
318 poly in it.. I can't find any info on that type motor or anything related to it.
        Thank you for your help

Keep an eye out on EBay for a 62 service manual. They pop up on there all the time at cheap prices. Yes to answer your question. Like many on here I worked professionally on these cars in the day.

          Thank you Truperformance...
1965 Plymouth manual is all they have.
Do they get manuals in on a regular basis?
          I appreciate your help.
          Thank you

I bought a custom 21 gallon S/S tank from Rick's Tanks in El Paso when I switched over to EFI. I added another strap. The trick would be to find another stock tank with the rear filler that fits the space. Adding another strap was not a big deal. DSCN0104.JPG
