Place is awesome...bout 1,200 cars, all makes and models from the teens to 80's mostly. I've pulled sure grips out before, but probably not many,if any left. Lots of A- body's and C-bodys...only one E a 70 Challenger
There used to be good old salvage yards up here like that at one time. They are all pretty well gone now. Land has gotten too valuable to let these old hulks tie it up. Treasures I found: 4 1964 Polara 500 spinners for $20
pair of fibreglass '66-'67 Coronet fenders
for $50
complete good 3-seat interior, tailgate,
rear door for '66 wagon for $60
15"x7" police wheels for $10 each
everything from a cracked 1968 HP 383
( 906 heads, AVS carb, intake and
exhaust manifolds ) for $85
4-speed tunnel from '68 RR for $5
I was a regular and considerate visitor, and the yards got to know me and gave me good deals on old parts. I learned which yards to frequent and which ones to avoid. These were just some of the deals I got. I wish now that I had had more $$$ to spend at that time, because there was a lot of neat stuff I did not buy. One local yard had a Superbird that had been picked pretty well clean before I discovered it. Those were the days.
