1964 Fury heater control valve

Car is in storage so I can’t look at it. Hot water control valve for the heater is bad and non working and needs rebuilt. Can the valve be removed without removing the heater box. It’s a non A/C heater box and will have to be removed for rebuild once it warms up.

Should be. There are 2 Phillips head screws holding it to the box end. The other end attached to a heater hose.
