Our bad economy has made me stop the work on my project. It should have been finished 2 years ago ! I have had this idea in my head for some time now and I am really unhappy about this decision. I can either sell my 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury or put it in long term storage and forget about it for 3 or 4 years and hope I can finish it some day. The car has only been seen in public 3 times and it was always the crowd favorite ! The car is not your ordinary 64. The has been many subtle changes made to the car. The paint is Dupont and if you had it done to your car it would have cost you about 10k to look like my 64. I will start from the front of the car and work backwards. The front bumper is fine but it does need to be rechromed. The front grill is perfect. The anodizing was stripped off and the aluminum was polished. The hood is a lift off fiberglass piece from WS Racing Fiberglass with a working opening in it. The front suspension is new including the torsion bars. It has tubular upper A arms. The engine is a 440. It has a big Comp cam and big valve ported heads. I bought it from a guy in Rancho Cordova California that was having a problem making his house payments. It was in a 71 charger and we drove the car before I pulled it from the car. It has big power and it would be a great first engine for the car. While in storage, I gave the carb and distributor the my buddy because he needed some parts. The carb on it is only a 750 double pumper and is there for looks. It needs an 850. The alternator is a dummy and is there to show the billet bracket set up. The intake is a Holley Street Dominator and is perfect for a 6000 rpm limit motor. The oil pan is a Milidon 7 quart deep sump. It has a new power front disc brake setup from Master Power Brakes. The steering box is new and is connected to a Flaming River Stainless tilt column. The firewall is completely smooth and I intended to run all wiring under the car to maintain a clean look. Custom perches were welded in to hold the fiberglass hood. All the metal trim on the body was removed and the holes were welded shut. The cowl opening in front of the windshield and the wiper arm openings were also welded shut. The car does need a front windshield but the rest of the glass is intact. The dash has been modified to hold Autometer Gauges and is all steel. The cage in the car is from Chris Alston Chassis Works. The wall between the passenger area and trunk is closed off with steel to protect the driver from fuel cell that was going in the trunk. Drive shaft loop is in place under the car. The rear of the car has been tubbed. The rear end is an S60 ( Dana 60 ) from Strange Engineering. It has Wilwood disc brake setup. It was custom built for the car from my specs. It is held in place by a 4-link Pro Street setup from Chris Alston Chassisworks. Holes were cut in the floor for the front link mounts and were perfectly hidden with custom boxes. The wheels are from Weld and the rear tires are Hoosier ! The rear bumper is perfect. The area inside the trunk is perfect. Please look at all the pictures because it shows all that is included with the car and provides so much more information about the car ! I might consider a slight discount if you do not want the engine. A 69 727 is included in the sale and it will need to be rebuilt to handle the power of the 440 ! Feel free to ask any questions. $1000.00 is due within 48 hours and the balance is due when you pick up the car or is shipped. Cashier check from major bank, or cash is preferred. Email for pictures that I could not show of all the included parts for the car. All pictures were taken in the past few days.
