1965 Dodge Coronet Headlight Switch Removal

I need to remove the headlight switch on my 65 Coronet. I know there is a release to get the pull rod out but I'm not sure where it's at.

It is a little button on the bottom of the switch near the back. Push it up and hold it. Then carefully work the knob and shaft out.

Yep, push the spring loaded button in and pull out the shaft. You might have to have the switch turned in the "dome light" position.

Then you'll find a threaded nut to turn to remove the switch. This is on my '62 so yours will look different.

When going together, just push knob/shaft in; button only for removal.
