im looking for the master switch for a 1966 charger , also need a single switch willing to buy the all 4 switches , hoping for good condition working switches please message thru forum thanks
yep. Price varies wildly. Took several years to accumulate the easier to find 69-77-ish stuff for my Satellite. I saw master switches untested (usually means driver's front don't work) for up to $300. Waited and found one listed as "tight" for $125 and a 78 and up perfect stand in for $25. There is also a rebuilder that lists the service on ebay. I don't know how they do it, those are a pot metal riveted nightmare inside. Prices are comparable with repro units. A couple years ago the release of the repros forced the used prices down from outrageous to about the same as a repro.
Oh, I thought you meant reproduction not re-built. I've seen quite a few NOS offerings on ebay over the years. I bought a NOS single switch for $75 for my '66.
I did say reproduction. They were introduced a couple years ago. Now there are several options. Both the used stock and the rebuild service have come down considerably in price since the introduction of the reproductions.
The 77 and up seem to stay tighter with good contact longer. Not sure why as they appear to be identical internally. I just prefer the look and feel of the 68-76 concave button. WAY easier to get all four up or down at the same time. I want to say "OER" makes the repro switches and I also believe they are in the Classic Industries catalog.
