1966 Plymouth B body owners - hood ornament question

1966 Satellite Belvedere with a 383 owners.
If you have the original hood ornament .
What color is the mylar insert on the backside.
Im finding 2 different ones. A gold one with black letters and a silver one with blue letters.
Which is correct


I just looked up part numbers in my book and for a 1966 Fury with a 383 # is 2579765 , for 1966 Satellite / Belvedere is # 2579874

So Im thinking the difference is the body style determines the color???????

The one on my car has black numbers and the gold is long gone but it’s an original 383 car that is unrestored.

I guess I can't tell you, at least not from this car. The insert is missing.

Gold back ground is the dominate version on B bodies .

not heard anything substantial from the C body crowd

I have had this one laying around since the mid 1970's. It was on a wrecked 66 Belvedere that my Dad scrapped in about 1976. It seems to be faded, but it looks like the background is a yellowish gold. The 383 numbers and the stripe look to be bare metal, with an almost gold tinge.
