Thanks for letting me join your group. Looking forward to seeing what's happening in the B-body family. My current, but 20 year old project is a 66 Belvedere I wagon.

I bought this wagon back in 1997 after finding it in the local Penny Pincher magazine for the ridiculous price of $300.00. It's a slant six, 3 on-the-tree, and was showing just 22k miles. It did not run, needed some filing of the points, after which some coxing by pouring gas in the carb, got it running and brought it home. The complete exhaust system fell off (very rusty) on the drive home. The deal was if I could get it to run I was to take it home and then make an offer. I think the guy's wife was forcing him to sell it, so I kinda took advantage of it when I offered the $300.00 I have no way of knowing how 'real' the mileage is, except that there is not a spot of rust anywhere. For the purists out there you may not like this, but I'm in the process of installing a rather expensive built 383 and a Keisler Tremec TKO600 5-speed conversion. When finished it will have a 'factory' appearing bench seat floor-shift setup.Welcome from Illinois!! Fine looking Belvedere wagon you have there. Looks 100% original(?). What engine & trans?
Here's a couple of interior pics. It needs a good cleaning in & out. It's been sitting in limbo since 2012, stashed away in the garage. And a couple pics of the 383 that will soon be installed with A TKO-600 5-speed.Nice.
More pics and specs please.
As I mentioned in a previous response, I have no background info of this car other than what you see is what I bought. I really had no intention of acquiring another car at the time, but for the price, well? That goes without saying.Nice.
Mine's blue inside too.
However, that interior pattern looks suspiciously like 1969/70 and not bare bones 1966 Bel I.
Just an observation.
Sweeet!! That interior should shine up like a new penny and with the powertrain upgrades that's going to be one very cool cruiser.I bought this wagon back in 1997 after finding it in the local Penny Pincher magazine for the ridiculous price of $300.00.
