So you guys have probably seen this, but I couldn't find info on it so I wanted to share for others. Please correct or add your thoughts.

It appears the early 68 BB chargers used the 66 style AC compressor brackets. These brackets have the compressor tilted slightly towards the passenger side. This wouldn't be a problem, however all the 1968 housing you find are straight and not the 66 style. The straight housing make the upper hose rest on the compressor and a pain. So if you have a titled compressor you might try the angled, and not straight up, housing. I'm still not sure what housing the my car came with, but the one I pulled looked factory and did not fit well....

1968 Charger, 1966 style bracket, 68 later straight housing. Notice how the hose touches or almost touches the compressor.

My 1968 (NOV 1st 67), with 66 bracket and 68 housing. The hose is touching the compressor (Don't judge, I've only had it for 1.5 months and this was week 1)

Another 68, 68 and later bracket, appears to be 68 housing

I bought the new housing and here are the before and after pictures. If you have a 68 with the compressor slightly tilted this an easy "fix". Tip: the bolt on the passenger side would not fit, but I had an extra exhaust stud and nut I used in its place.
    The part numbers are:
    MOPAR 1855605
    Dorman 902-3022
AutoZone 902-3022 (They had this one locally)
