I’m restoring my 68 RR. Can I put the new package tray and interior trim in before installing back glass? I want to wait until car is finished until I call a glass installer out.
I would think you need to have the headliner in place and all the other stuff can be done after the back glass is installed. The headliner has to hook into the saw tooth looking deals so you get a good fitment. With the glass in place its a little hard to wrap the headliner around those metal pieces.
Thank you. I did finish the headliner. I was thinking without the back glass in the package tray, rear seat and trim pieces might be easier. Plus I’m unsure about installing my own back glass. Maybe I should give installation a shot.
Back glass is pretty easy since it just uses the stickum tape. Best to have a friend on the other end tho. I put in the headliner, package tray, then glass then inside-outside trim on mine.
