Does anyone know when in the 1968 model year Chrysler switched from the round style to the square ones with the script?

Got a 68 Charger with round knobs. C13 build date (Dec13, 67)

I have one '68 with a November build & it has a round knob (a/c car) and another 68 with a build date of 12/26/67 build & it has the square knobs.

Are your door pad emblems like this.....

Also, does yours also have the funky tail light brackets in the trunk & the "skeletal" trunklid understructure?

Mine has a Dec 6th build date. Has the round knob and all red door panel emblem. Don't know if A/C made a difference because the A/C cars only had one manual vent. Mine has A/C
Mine has the trunk as in your pictures.

I will try to get pics in a couple days.

Do the tail lights have the same mounting as the later ones since the early have different brackets?

Maybe Kiwi should attach this thread to your other thread with the differences from early and later 68's.

My parts car is a non AC car...FYI

The tail lights do have the same mounting brackets, but the early cars had that weird additional vertical

bracket.

Checked mine out quick. Didn't have the camera with.
Door pad emblems all red.
Has the extra tail light bracket piece.
Trunk lid underside bracing is different than your early one. Mine is like the one on the right.

Ok. Here's a couple pics. Medallion on the upper door panel and the stamping on the back for the OEM guys.
