I am located in Georgetown, TX. Will deliver anywhere in TX.
I am in the process of pulling this engine out of my 68 Hemi Super Bee to be replaced by a stroked crate Hemi.
This is an all original 1969 426 Hemi. Originally belonged to a 69 Super Bee. Apparently the car is was born with still exists today, but I have been unable to find the owner. Perfect for a "Period Correct" project.
Engine runs well. Sat for 10 years in a private collection, so all the seals are dry rotted. It leaks from everything that can leak. Will need to be resealed at the least. Engine was "refreshed" (what ever that means) in 2004. Has only been driven 200 miles since then. Since I've owned it, it's only seen 104 Octane, fully leaded gas, and gets started 1-2 times a week. Once it burns off the oil from the leaky vale seals, it runs great.
Selling as a rotating assembly. You get everything from the oil pan to the carbs. I am keeping the air cleaner and exhaust manifolds. Parts I know are correct: Intake Manifold, Heads, Block, Vale Covers, Carbs. Incorrect: Oil Pan, Fan. Throttle cable mount is from an Automatic.
Asking $25K, OBO. Will consider partial and full trades. Things that currently interest me: 68 JK Steel Hemi Wheels, 68 Hemi Radiator, Hemi HD Rear Leaf Springs. 68 or 69 4 speed Mopars that don't need full rebuilds (drivetrain optional)
