1969 road runner trunk restoration

I am restoring trunck in my 1969 roadrunner. The question is on the brackets that hold the rear side markers. Are they painted trunk color or black. Mine were truck color but the truck had been repainted. What color were they when the car was new. Maybe they were not painted. I am trying to restore to factory specs.

Yellowish zinc plating, or at least I can't see Plymouth being any different than my 69 Bee.
