1969 roadrunner hood inserts

I have a 69 roadrunner that I am restoring back to origonal. It is a f3 paint code that was re painted f8 with black stripes on hood. The question is I am going back to f3 with no stripes like vin tag. The 383 badges on the hood. Does the inserts stay black or are they painted f3 ? If someone has some pics I would like to see. Thanks in advance.
