1969 Roadrunner Horn assy

Hello,
I am having issues with my steering wheel horn assembly on my 69' roadrunner. I have the two pcs (attached pic) but there was no spring in between and not sure there was supposed to be (I figure there was) as I cannot find any detailed assembly information about the horn ring assembly. any help would be appreciated.

Unless you had some other goodies come out with the disassembly, you may be missing some components...this pic from the '69 Satellite service manual.

Thanks for posting the schematic, Wow this seems a lot different than what my RR came with....hmmmm
