1969 RR Performance Hood treatment

I have seen the outer stripe edges in line with the fender/cowl gap or in line with the inside of the A pillar, making for a slightly narrower stripe. The latter was seen on a factory brochure. My guess is the vinyl top cars had the stripe go all the way to the fender gap and the non vinyl cars ending at the inside A pillar (I'll have to look again to see if the brochure car had a vinyl top). Can anyone comment on this??
