Hello,
I’m selling this project to fund my next Mopar project, Sorry no trades cash only.
I’ve had it for 5 years collecting parts for restoration. The car has a clear Oregon title in my name and is located in Beaverton, Oregon an area West of Portland, Oregon.
The car originally was a Lime gold with factory shadow mask paint. There was roughly 1600 390 4 speed cars made and the other roughly 1600 or so, 360 cars. Out of the 3200 total, there were approximately 940 factory shadow mask paint cars. dash Vin number is present and matches the title and has same stamping behind the Manual steering pump on frame rail-from the factory. I’ll list what mainly comes for the $5,000 price and I have extra 70 only parts I’ve collected and available for extra cost. But will consider reasonable offers in combination with parts.
1970 AMX car comes with a Ram Air hood that is in pretty good solid shape but has some small repairable rust spot inner frame where latch is (No fresh air duct work included), new suspension includes: newer rear leaf springs, upper & lower ball joints and main bushings installed on control arms. Ram air hood in picture, New 11 piece stainless steel hardline brake line kit, rare 8 track face plate, after market wood grain dash replacement pieces, AMX chrome exhaust tips, locking gas cap match keyed set of locks for car and almost Mint front grill and head light bezels, with 1 small unseen repairable crack top fin, seen in picture.
The car was a weekend race car and was parked in 1981. 390 69 block (not sure of condition), believe 70 dogleg heads, T10 4 speed transmission, with scatter shield. The car had the tunnel shifter hump partially cut to get quick access to adjust linkage and usual rust on floor board seam areas in front and back of seats. Frame rails appears solid with surface rust. Included with sale is a full original 1969 AMX 4 speed factory virtual rust free floor pan and frame, seen in pictures below. This was going to be used to replace rust spots on floor. Trunk floor is solid, with some residual rust around side trunk lips. The car is actually pretty solid and the they also cut rear wheel well openings for slicks. Replacement parts are available too from after market vendors but not included. All glass is good and stainless window trim side trim is really good. Extra excellent 1970 only parts available at extra cost, prices listed in picture-ad.
Please PM me for additional questions. I’ll up load pictures
Thank you,
Ken Tressler
