Way cool keep them coming guys! Kinda shocked to see many with hubcaps.. more common than the fancy wheels I suppose.

GTX new by Photon440.jpg

Mine in 79 just after I brought it home

Best year in US automotive history? (All manufacturers included)

I believe it 1969. With 1970 a close 2nd. 1967 a more distant 3rd. JMO of course.

My GTX in 1978

That looks quite exactly like one i unsuccessfully tried to buy in Parma, OH in the very early 90's. Only 6k, very fast car..... the guy had done up the interior in matching short shag crushed velvet. The interior was common for the time, not my style, but would have not been a deal breaker in my mind. The guy needed cash, found it elsewhere, and kept the car at the last second!!

Summer 1976. B7 white top. pretty car. Vitar transmission with 3000 stall

I was fortunate to be in high school in mid 70s. Graduated 1979. The cars of the late 60s and early 70s were the only cars we could afford. I was 17 when I bought my '66 GTO 389 4speed. I hotrod and beat it to death. Parted it out when engine had enough of my abuse. Non of us never new the future values of these cars. A '68 sport Satilite after that. Then '68 Camaro. Purchase for all of them then? Under $1000. The first car I payed over $1000 in '83? '69 GTX. And have been hooked since.
