1970 b body convertible interior question

Have a 70 Roadrunner convertible. Was running stereo system wiring from the front to the trunk area and noticed that there is not any sort of behind the rear seat back insulation of any kind.....one would think that there would be some sort of heat insulation or sound deadening panel behind the rear seat back...id this normal?

I had 2 70 Satellite convertibles. Neither of them had any insulation behind the back seat. Maybe there was a space issue because the top stores in the well behind the seat when down.
