Help - I am trying to find leaf spring pad for my 1970 charger. 8 1/4 rearend. I have found energy suspension pads for 1972 and up. But appear to be much different than what I need. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I also found GM ones at summit, but can’t locate the ones I need.

Thanks very much

70's didn't have 8 1/4 rears. If it does have that rear, you never know what the previous owner did as far as mixing up parts.
Mike,my 70 Charger has a 8 1/4 rear end 318 1 owner car. I wish it was an 8 3/4

I see 8 1/4" started being used in B bodies in 69. It depends on where you look for information. :BangHead: :BangHead:

My red 70 had one, as did my "Jigsaw" '70.

Both were open diff with 2.71 gears as shown on the ring gear.

Back on point:
No axle in the '70 models used rubber isolator pads. The rubber cushioned stuff appeared in 1973.

Well that explains why I can’t find one:) would you recommend putting something in it? Or do you feel it will be fine…
