This is the simplest of questions.
The main parking brake cable and sheath that run through the torsion bar crossmember: Does it simply push through the hole and lock with the small thin spring barbs?
For removal or replacement, does it simply push/pull into place? No hidden clips ?
I ask because I'm welding in torque boxes and don't want to make any future parts service unreachable. Thanks !

Yes, just the barbs hold it there.

        Thanks Paul....Fucker.

Yeah, I thought it just pushed in. I plan to cut in an oval hole anyway to aid removal or installation if ever necessary. Thanks!

Don't mention it, that's what friends are for.

PS What are you working on? That's certainly not your 68.

I sort of save mine but will be not using it again. Didn't help it any. Yes bend the barbs.
