Personally, I'd go with a 340 or 360 block as a starting point.

thanks for your opinion i'll write that down along with the 477 other people that say that exact same thing

thanks man

Obviously, the larger displacement just makes sense to myself & the other 476 people but there's no need to get huffy. Had you come to us with a 273 stroker project, you really would be in for a rash of sh!t.

:icon_eek: Little rough on the new guy, 'eh Mr. Head?

sounds pretty good, I did a 4" stoker 390ci 5.2/318ci Magnum for my old 99 Dakota 2wd R/T Clone a few years back,
it ran pretty damn well, felt like a big block in a smaller & lighter package...

interesting build

did you go over the welcome wagon forum & introduce yourself, maybe give us some background & some photos etc.

have fun & welcome to FBBO

I always found something magical about the 392 combo, and apparently Mopar did too.

I know you initially posted this a while ago, but I'm wondering how you have enjoyed your build? Would you have done anything different? Was it worth the cost? How is the torque of the 392? Did you upgrade your brakes and did you originally have a 3 core or 2 core radiator? Thanks!
