1970 Roadrunner Hood Stripe

I’m looking for help on what paint to use on my 70 RR hood stripe.
I was told that it should have texture to it??? The stripe was black originally.

I do not believe the original paint is available, however several people have figured out how to duplicate it.

The paint is called organosol. Here’s a pint had mixed up in 1998. Never opened that I’m saving for a rainy day

Cody over at ebodies.org figured out how to duplicate it for AAR and TAs, he has some videos on how he did it, pretty ingenious actually. A lot more work than I am interested in, on my 70 RR I will be painting the stripe with satin black

The stripe measurements on the bottom picture are different than the top. I'd go with the top one.

they came off the interweb so there is that; but that is good advice I think

My R.R. still has the factory paint on it. However, it has lost its texture long before I ever owned it.

Roger Gibson and Frank Badalson still sell it but I believe it is $199 per quart.

PPG Duracryl is no longer available.
Your best bet is the Frank B / R Gibson product
