1970 superbee question

i am trying to disassemble a glove box door off of a 1970 superbee for restoration and i need to seperate the plastic front from the metal back. how does the bezel on the latch come off that seems to be the only thing standing in my way. does it just pop off or do i need the key. thanks

Wish I could help, but I've never taken out apart. I'm sure someone will chime in though
