Ebay is your best bet for that switch, there are a couple of 74-76 ones out there at the moment.

This with the external ballast is ofirginally for BB, because sets two stages of voltage depending on engine bay temp. The other one for SB is just one stage

There are couple more available on ebay but more expensive. I bet you can get some laying around on a local JY.
i ve tried my local junk yards all they carry now a days is new stuff and i checked ebay once before and didnt have any luck but i checked today and found two they are pricey but i am ok with that if i can just get one before its too late

Well first of all which engine and carb. From that picture you posted looks like 2 bbl (318)?
There are several listed
3656730, 3698357 the most common being the 730.

Now I can tell you I purchased mine from a Chrysler dealer. With the part number they can put it on the locator for you and tell you what deal may have one still sitting on a shelf.
It will be a heck of a lot cheaper than ebay.

I have two of these choke controls (used). See pic below. The one on the right has part #3656730 on it. I don't have the part number for the one on the left but I can get it. These pics are from one of my swap meets and not very detailed. Again these are used and working condition unknown, I would refund your money if you got stuck with a bad unit if we were to come to a deal.

The one on the right with the resistor is # 3755770 - 74 and up and not correct for 73.
The correct # I just looked up again is 3656730. They are all over Google to confirm and honestly the only thing you can do is check continuity between the terminals. However I honestly don't remember which is which.
Possibly this will help.

Really, what’s the shut off timing of your 45+ year old electro-mechanical choke control switch? In short order, the internal contacts would either fuse together (constant heater assist-1.8amp draw on ign 1) or contacts would burn (no heater assist resulting in prolonged choke application). The very high failure rates made them dealer tune-up replacement parts when these cars were new. I’ve personally replaced hundreds on them back then. The late seventies redesigned solid state version fared no better.

I have 3 of them... 2 NOS ( one single stage other double stage ) and one used... the used came from a JY engine imported to Vzla... and still works.

I can get rid off the NOS single stage one ( without the external resistor ), but Will arrive home in a month.

and as far I know the one with the ballast Double stage is for BB and the one without the Ballast is single stage for SB and /6.

thats what I have known allways and I think even read on the FSM
