1973 RR Sway Bar Plates

So my hunt for at least a driver side rear sway bar mounting plate continues. I purchased what was listed as a correct but incomplete sway bar on eBay. On my car the sway bar is totally missing plus the driver side link mount plate is broken off right at the spring mount.
The remaining plate on the passenger side appears to be original but doesn't look like other pictures I have seen of '73 rear sway bars.
Any ideas of what models may have a mate to my passenger side plate so I can do some junkyard scrounging?

I have a parts car that I know the axle was changed out on but I am not sure if the PO left the plates on. I will check this weekend and let you know. Below is a 1973 setup.

Thanks so much for checking .... if mine ends up 1/3 as nice as yours I will be a happy camper. You had mentioned time estimates in your build, since I turn 68 in May I am hoping to have mine done for a 70th birthday cruise

Yup I did mention time estimates. Those didn't last too long. If I didn't have a full time job then the build might have only taken a year. Seriously though, I did a lot more work on that car than I was planning on doing. Got a little **** about what had to be made right. No regrets, I really liked the way it turned out. Hopefully those plates are still there.

That's why I enjoyed every post on your journey. Yep, when I restored my last two RR I was in my mid and late thirties. Took about 18 months each then when I was working in automotive. Told the wifey now that I'm retired this one would get done quicker........not !!

Hi, I knew it was incomplete but it seemed the straight sway bar was correct for '73, but it was 90% of what I didn't have. The eBay seller was honest and listed it as incomplete.

I could be wrong, it looks just like '72 from my memory. If I recall I though there was visible difference with the one used with the iso system. Hopefully some others will chime in.

if the OP's car is a 73.....I'd look for a complete 73-79 setup.

LOTS of 75-79 cars came with rear sway bars, and people often don't think they are as valuable as 73/74.

The 71/72 is different because of the ISO mount pads.

Great thread John and thanks YY1. I , too, am looking for a complete rear bar set up for my 73 also. A PO has replaced the original 8 3/4 rear from a non rear sway car and I need plates and all. Good info to know that up thru a 79 will work, would that be any b and or C bodies would fit.

If it helps in your search the 73-74 sway bar mount plate numbers are:

3643819
I believe the ISO brackets/shock/spring mountings and rubber isolators changed in again 75, but not 100% sure

I'm aware of slight differences in bars and mounts, but nothing IIRC that would prevent the use of a complete set.

I also believe the bars can interchange on the mounts. Some bars are straight, some have a bend around the diff.

I'd not mix left and right brackets, though.

Your 73 has the ISO pads so your supports were 3722944 and 3722945. KS must have slid up a line when going across the page.
