I looked at a factory sunroof RR yesterday that was for sale. 340, 4-speed car, one of 956 built that year. Missing original engine, typical Michigan rust on firewall, quarters, trunk floor and by rear seat belts. Disassembled, most of it was there but parts were not well organized. Silver frost with black stripes and interior. I know there were 414 sunroof out of 19,056 total cars that year. Asking price was $3500. What do you guys think? Sunroof cars seem to be a hot item right now but lack of replacement panels is a definite problem.

I owned a 73 big block (400c.i.), 4spd, sunroof car. B5 blue over B5 blue, with white stripes. Problem with sunroof cars is not the lack of panels, rather the lack of interior trim and sunroof mechanism. As for body panels, you could get by using 71/72 floors, firewall, and trunk, but what I would do is buy this one and salvage the sunroof and transplant it on a better body.

Definitely check out the frame rails in the back, torsion cross member...

10577201_10201622530885052_1553837023548930578_n.jpg just got my first sunroof 73 and easy fix on sunroofs period... mines like new in 6hrs work time, need help ask. If you feel you can solve body issues do it. I lived in Michigan 40 yrs so rust is an issue big time, and restoring undercarriage is no fun... REPLACING CABLES AND CRANK ON SUNROOF $40.00.... UNLESS ELECTRIC MOTOR, AND THATS EASY. SUNROOF/340.4 SPEED? BUY IT.....RESTORE IT, MAKE 15 GRAND WHEN DONE....

This is unfortunate as the interior panel is missing and I do not know what else at this time. The top panel was loose so I only saw it separate from the car. I do have a 74 body book that shows pictures and all the parts it is suppose to have. Now I have to go back to the car and see what is still there (hour drive). It is a manual top. This car went to a body shop and the under hood wiring harnesses are missing and the guy was unable to locate the front and back window trim on my visit. I am thinking he was negligent in making sure he got his whole car back. The list of missing parts keeps growing from what he first said was gone when I asked him. Thanks for the reply.
