Some before pictures of my new project. Definitely got some work to do. I'll update with pictures as changes happen.

:welcome: from Connecticut. I'm a fan of the 73/74 cars . Have fun!

Welcome from another Michigander. :drinks: Gonna have a nice project there, good luck and hope to see it on the road in the future.

Beautiful! 400 or 440? Original engine? I love that interior...wow

Originally it had a 383, I bought it with the 440. I'm amazed with how well the interior has held up over the years, obviously there's work to be done and I'm looking forward to diving into it.

For sure, it might be a couple years before I'm fully road ready but I'll definitely get out there

Quick wash, a saddle blanket on the seats and you're good to go. HA!

Hi there 00Joe, welcome aboard!

Thanks for the pictures, we all like those. :) A little sun damage on the dashboard? If you're going to put new parts in it doesn't matter how bad the old ones are does it? There wasn't a 383 built after the 1971 model year though, probably was a 400.

I have some jade green interior parts if you are going back with that fairly cool color.

My mistake, did a Vin decode turns out it had a 318 originally

Ok thanks, I'm still not positive on the color I'm going for, it's a tough choice

Ok this might be a dumb question but I got a parts car with this project and I was wondering if I could take the front disc brakes off the parts car and put them on the rear of the project car or would I run into way too many issues doing so and be better off getting a disc conversion kit?

Mope only used rear disc's for maybe two years. Hard to find parts and not worth the effort. There are other solutions.

Better off getting the conversion kits for the rear

So I finally got back to working on the car a little bit, and I was working on installing a new steering column and I can't seem to find a universal joint that will match up with the factory steering box. I've been looking online for something with a similar spline pattern, because It seems pretty standard 36 spline but it has one section where there's a gap about the size of two splines that matches up with the steering box. And I can't find any universal joints with that same gap. Has anybody seen a universal joint that will fit properly?

That is the master spline which mates up with its opposite on the steering box. I don't believe the a/m joints do that which in one aspect, gives you a little more adjustment possibility for lining up the steering wheel. Are you using an OE column or Ididit, Flaming River etc?

I've got a flaming river column

Ok. Did the instructions tell you you would need the telescoping shaft in between?
