Here's a brand-new (not "remanufactured") carb, a genuine Carter BBD (not the Chinese counterfeit garbage) It's a truck carb, which'll run better than car carbs (less-stringent truck emissions standards = they don't have strangulation jetting). Been in climate-controlled storage, so it's not a corroded mess.
It's a Carter tag № 4128s, spec for 1970 Dodge D/W pickups and A vans with 318. Factory-configured for manual choke: has long, spring-staged choke lever and appropriate bracket to accept a manual choke control of your own supply (they are not hard to buy, even now), and stepless fast-idle cam so you can pull the choke without having to remember to hold down the accelerator while you pull. Works a whole lot better than cobbling up a manual choke control on a carb configured for an automatic choke. Also has throttle dashpot to avoid herky-jerky when slowing down in a vehicle with a manual transmission (doesn't hurt anything on an automatic). Has closed-throttle idle (calibrated holes in throttle plates). $318 for this carb:
