Howdy can anybody help me with the year of this trans? I know its early because of the ball and trunion, but would like to know exactly. Also what would be a fair price to pay? Dont know the condition. Its been sitting for 35 -40 years. So core value. Thanks

It looks (tough to see) like the casting date, which appears to look like a little tag and screws at each end, is September 19th, 1959. So it was cast in '59 for the 1960 model year I would guess. However, this can't be right, because that would make it too early for an A833, or any 4-speed for Chrysler. So, it's an A745 three speed, or I have no clue, probably the latter.

From old manual looks like a type 23 used from 64-69. Better pic of case cover may help

I thought 64 or 65 was the last year for ball and trunnion.

Maybe it's the missing trans out of that 30 million dollar Ferrari .:rofl::rofl:

Click it into 1st gear and count the revolutions of the input to the output ratio. There were two 1st gears in those years, 3.09 and 2.66. Might affect the value.
