im running a 10.5 -1 compression motor and have had lots of issues with this engine running right. would to much advance on dist. cause it to blow i used victoror gaskets should i of used a steel gasket or a thieel gasket? with a wild cam ? on a 440 engine.

the heads and intake have been shaved also
 
Are you sure you have a blown head gasket? 440's are not known for blowing head gaskets, and if it is indeed blown, there may be something wrong with the head surface or block deck. I have used Victor gaskets in the past and they are fine - unless something changed for the worse.
 
whats the duration @.50? on the cam

blown head gasket is usually from what the guys said above or overheating i would imagine
