They have been listed as "Arriving Soon" on the Classic Industries website for years. I don't see them ever being reproduced again either.

Demand isn’t there. Things go full circle. Anyone seriously interested in one will pay a premium for what’s available, the way we older folks did in the 1980s.

I don’t understand why the demand wouldn’t be there. Cars are still changing hands, still being restored, it’s the cherry on top for any HP car. The prices being paid for used or new, old ones should prove there is demand. One of these pops up that’s nice and usable for ~$200 it sold in seconds. I think the old price point was <$75, seems like willingness to pay with repop could be $150+ range. If I would have ever guessed these were going away with no return insight I probably would have bought a few just to have. I need a 67 440 tin but not enough to pay $500 for one.

What’s odd is that all the 383 versions are readily available in the aftermarket. I bought mine from Mega Parts. Don’t understand why the 440 ones aren’t available.

Up until recently, you could even buy the 383 magnum tie pin from Mopar Performance on Amazon. They became unavailable this spring.

So you understand, they aren’t making 383 pie tins, and not making 440 pie tins. When they made pie tins, they made them all. The 440 tins simply ran out first, and they haven’t depleted the 383 inventory yet.
Volume and margin will determine if they will make more. Hard to imagine that they would.

I've collected extra parts unique to my GTXs from day one. I had trouble getting most of the trim pieces from the time I owned the first one. I've been fortunate to get some good pieces cheap or free over the years. Now that I'm in the final chapter, I've tried to pay it forward by donating some of the scarce stuff to FBBO members I know need it for their car, and aren't going to flip it for profit.
I've got a spare NOS red one and if I don't find a car to put it on, I'll just sell it. Check back with me in about 8 years or so.

Yeah, pretty much the same situation with the Plymouth version. I had one that I'd bought in the 80s and was a little banged up, and was glad to let it go to someone who needed it and make a few bucks.
"Coming soon" for 5 years....hmm....
It seems if you can find anything useable and not totally wrecked, a weathered one for 100 or so might be thought of as better than nothing. That's pretty close to what I got for mine and it wasn't doing me any good sitting on a core 440 in the corner of my shop.

Thank you. I have a November 1968 build 69 Charger 440 R/T so I am needing a red one unless someone wants to correct me on this and tell me why it should be Orange.

Red. Orange was 1970, there are rumors of Orange being used on very late build 1969 cars though.

I have been looking for ages for a 383 Four Barrel pie tin. I have an orange 383 magnum in perfect condition I would swap for a 4 bbl one.
