448/440 we just finished, for I believe a '72 Satellite. 572 lb-ft @ 3,800 rpm and 593 hp @ 5,900 rpm

.040 over factory '72 block
10.6:1 running on 91 octane
950 Quick Fuel
Edelbrock RPM Performer dual plane
Victor cylinder heads prepared to flow just like the Trick Flow 240 CNC heads
Custom Comp Cams solid flat tappet
Hughes Engines 1.6 rocker arms
Scat H-beam rods
SRP flat top pistons
Stock forged crankshaft

492 lb-ft @ 3,000 rpm start of dyno pull and 496 lb-ft @ 6,100 rpm end of dyno pull.

Thanks, It's not too bad with 557 lb-ft @ 3,300 rpm and 550 lb-ft @ 5,100 rpm

Awesome numbers Jim! and it's painted the right color too! :headbang:

Torque curve is awesome. But 572 turbo torque curve will be insanity

Awesome numbers, good job on that one.

If we can get close to those #s with mine I'll be over the moon!
Tim

Would you care to share cam specs Jim?

Now, Don't come in hear blabbing about a 572 twin turbo and leave us hanging. That's just cruel!!!:laughing11:

So the Victors take some work OOB to flow like the Trick Flows?

That is correct............flows from our bench.............

Lift........OOTB TF240............OOTB Victor...........Quick port on Victor

.100............74/60...................67/59.....................76/61
.200..........150/138...............126/113..................153/137
.300..........221/196...............185/164..................218/192
.400..........276/232...............241/205..................273/238
.500..........322/254...............285/226..................320/266
.600..........336/270...............326/234..................345/284
.700..........333/277...............315/234..................343/291

Cam specs close to this? 234°/247° .600"/.600" 108° That's the TF specs for the cam they used for their dyno ads.

Note: the .600 lift is with 1.7 rockers...

I'm pretty sure Trick Flow's cam was a 241/246 hydraulic roller.

Our solid flat tappet cam would have been the equivalent of a 245/249 hydraulic flat tappet cam, .608 lift with the 1.6 rockers.

Should be blue for a 72 Satellite. No?

Yep - your right!

It was a joke - When Jim built my engine last year I sent him an email that said: "Jim, is it sacrilegious to paint a 440 Hemi Orange?"... and He said, "If you want your engine Hemi Orange, your going to get it Hemi Orange!"

And, I got my engine Hemi Orange, LOL! The Hemi Orange looks great don't it?...

Is there any other color...lol...here is a pick of mine...not quite the numbers of that beast up top but its respectable cruiser with a peak of 523TQ @ 4300RPM/ and 470HP @ 5200RPM...might look to upgrade a little down the road...as most guys always looking for just a little more HP but have to make sure the convert gets her bracing done first...
