451 big block engine. 1972 model year "230" 400" block. .060 over, factory 440 crank and rods, purple shaft cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, Comp Cams roller rockers, MSD Pro Billet distributor, Mopar Performance M1 intake manifold, MSD plug wires, 440 source aluminum water pump housing, and Mopar Performance aluminum valve covers.

I previously had this advertised locally as a 470 and stated that for an interested buyer we could tear it down for inspection. Upon teardown it was discovered to actually be a 451. The cylinders look good, and it rolls over smoothly. I took some pictures while we were inside, and if someone were interested we could certainly open it back up as it is just put back together enough to keep it clean. At this point at minimum it would need a gasket kit and reassembly, but I'm glad we dug into it so now a buyer has a better idea of what it is and I can more accurately represent it.

Asking $4950 obo. There are a lot of nice parts here. Engine is located in PawPaw, MI, 49064. Please PM me if interested or with any questions. Thanks,

U should double-check that 440 Source water pump housing,
their early production runs had some major quality issues..

Just my $0.02...

Yeah it is probably an older build so that housing should be checked. I will get pictures of the combustion chamber when I get back home. Looking at the valve relief, RemCharger may be onto something that I didn't even notice. Thank you for pointing that out.

Sorry I haven't posted pictures of the combustion chamber. I had a local guy waiting here for me when I got home that checked it out and left me a deposit on it. I'll mark it sold for now assuming he will follow through. Thanks again,
