I'm about to purchase a 6.4L modern hemi and know that I can get an adapter to put a 4L60E transmission with it. I prefer this route over the Gear Vendors OD as they fit well without cutting, are easy to get, have good ratios, programmable, etc.. I know there will be those who chime in for the GV. I get that.
1. Can anyone confirm the 4L60 will not require cutting a 1969 convertible b body (extra bracing for convertible)? I know I need a crossmember.
2. My car is column shift. Does anyone make a good adapter so that the shifter works for P-R-N and D on my existing column (does it even need an adapter?)? I realize there could be differences when going to the lower gears.
