Been years in the works. The Covid world put this build on the back burner.
This block isn’t the newer BMP that is on the market. It is one that I acquired three years ago that had been collecting dust in a guys garage.

It did take lots of machine work to get all squared up, but now it’s almost ready to go.

Should be on the dyno in a couple weeks hopefully.

Stay tuned.

Is that motor over at BEST machine in Michigan?

Going in my 71 Charger.
I’ll get video because I’ll be there when they dyno it.
I’m in Canada. That motor is in Edmonton at AMS Engines.

Yes, I see some finger wagging coming my way this year.

What Heads? I have the same block NOS, what issues did you run across in regard to your Block?

I’m only using a -1. Motor is more than I can run with the car.
basically a full machine job to get every thing squared up. When I go the block the decks looked like they were cut with a rusty butter knife.
But it’s all square and true now.
Biggest issue was the head dowels on the one bank are off a bit, so head does not sit on block correctly. Can’t remember if it is slightly forward or backward and which bank?
Not sure if they offset the hole on the head to correct it or not?
They made mention of trying that possibly?
But I’ve used these guys for years, so I know it will be good when it leaves.

I'm about to get my rotating assembly ordered. BMP new style block. Still planning on more street use than strip, especially Cruisin the Coast, and I'd like to do a Power Tour (the Mopar version maybe) and road trips.
I have to decide 4.25 or 4.50 stroke.
Let us know why you chose the latter please.

looks great, keep US all posted

be waiting in anticipation :bananadance:for the #'s
