63 Sport Fury console light

Can anyone tell me a good way to remove the light? I don't want to bend anything up trying to get it off. Is the lens supposed to come out first? Thanks for the help.

Nope it has two “U” shapes on the back side and just snaps on.. You can use a flat blade or putty knife and pry gently between the chrome and the trim.. It will pop right off.

Thank you, and yes I was planning on buying new. Still looking for better console top pieces or a better console but figured I'd give patching this one up a try. Seems like the legs are always broken off or the back piece is kicked out of them.
