Hey everybody~~~Just joined here, looks like a great place for valuable info .... So, here is my first request: My '65 coronet 440 is currently in the body shop, undergoing some minor body work, then basecoat/clearcoat paint.... I am adding a 64-65 super stock hood scoop--- question is, where do I find the correct info as to the measurement @ the rear of the scoop---side to side is obvious..but, not sure how close to the back edge of hood it should sit...I know it is not much...approx. an inch or so.most pics I look @ really don't show..appreciate any body having this info, or could steer me in the right direction...also,I have a set of fiberglass bumbers for the same car, never been used, so anyone in upstate NY interested, contact me...not interested in shipping...... thanks ~~Mopar, or NOCAR~~

First, welcome to the party! There was a thread about this same issue a couple of weeks ago;go back 3-4 pages in this section and you should find it. Oh,we like pics-hint,hint...

just give yourself a 1/4 inch from the rear edge of the scoop and the rear edge of the hood and you will have it exactly where it belongs it will look great.

Mine is mounted 3/4 of an inch from the back edge of the hood.

1/4 " sounds pretty minimal-- might go with 3/4"...thanks!

Trust me go with the 1/4 inch it is correct i did a lot of asking and research before i did mine and i have looked at original cars it is a 1/4 inch.

it's been years now....car is complete, sits in the garage cause it get 'bout 5 mi./ gallon, and doesn't like heat here in Texas
see pics with both hoods

Really like black out on hood with scoop. Like the color your ride turned out great.

Wow awesome 65. Great color combo. I like the both hoods. I've seen that "sunburst" hood before either on this site or another.
