Howdy folks, I am just in the midst of installing a retrosound stereo in the dash and since I have it all apart I wanted to put in a bracket in the original speaker hole and mount two 3.5 speakers. I ordered one a few months back on ebay but it will in no way fit the hole in this dash as the 4 studs that hold the grille look like they also hold the speaker. Sadly mine was long gone before I got the car. Anyone have any success with this badboy?
Thanks everyone!!

I used this 4X10 speaker with two the two tweeters. It was like the one retrosound sells but I bought it locally. I think it was custom autosound brand. You didn't ask this, but I also wanted rear speakers, but I didn't want to cut anything. I found these two ways which fit perfectly in the gap between the rear seat and the door panel. The speakers are well matched to the front speaker and I am quite happy with the sound so far.

Thanks for the heads up! I just may go that route. For the rears I cut a new door on the hinge(original rotted away) and instead of carpet I used a speaker grille fabric thats nearly identical and have a couple of 6x9's back in there with an amp mounted on the back of the board. I really do dig the retrosound stuff as well, I picked up the Retrosound Redondo with the 2A motor. I will warn anyone else here it is very finicky on our particular dash and you need to order the flat display extra which they dont seem to realize. The shafts the knobs are mounted on need to be on an angle so everything lines up. It sounds and looks amazing and I no longer have to reach into the glovebox to change the station:)

I put a 4x10 and some 3in in my dash and put 2 boxes with 6x9s behind the back seats. I also updated the radio and still used the old pointed tune knobs

Can you post a pic of your rear set up? I am new here and just got a 67'charger. Doing retro sound tuner and the same kicker 4x10, looking to explore options for a couple of 6x 9 or 5x7 withoit cutting to much away.

Also, did you wire the two 3" in parallel? With the retrosound amp it is my understanding that there are 4 amplified outs.
