the 66 charger marked the beginning of an 11 1/2 (66 through mid 78) year run for the B bodied charger through 4 generations. they immediately began serving duty on the nascar high banks and drag strips, even making it on the big screen. heres a few random photos. post up yours.
That bathtub scooped red and blue flame one was for sale in St Pete a few years ago. Waaaaay too much $$ for what it was. That gun metal blue one with the steelies rocks!
Never saw that cartoon before. Funny! - - - Updated - - - Mine...I posted on the other thread already, but what the heck...
a few more tail end shots of our 2 66's Bryan - - - Updated - - - and for those who don't know what the instrument cluster looks like lit up correctly... Bryan
My 66 Charger Here is my Charger .I have been working on it for the last 8 or 9 years. The interior is not finished .I have been out of work for most of the last 2 years and can't spend any money to finish it.. I do have it drivable and have had it on the road for the last couple years. Have to stay pretty close to home due to the price of fuel. I'm hoping to get back to work soon and get more than the 10 weeks of work I got last summer.
whats the story on the rear trunk lid lip (spoiler) . was that optional ? love the color wayne, i also really like the white walls and steels (rollers) for some reason - - - Updated - - - the instrument cluster looks awesome !
The spoiler was introduced after the Daytona race on Hemi cars because they were getting very loose over 180 mph. So they developed these in a wind tunnel and it kept the race cars on the track. I just liked them and bought one and put it on my car.
The Electroluminiscense... The instrument cluster...I love it! Here is where the first gauge lit up...great moment...:hello2:
I like that shot win the volt meter. People don't believe it when you tell them the dash lights run on 250+ volts AC.
My 67 Charger Project Purchased this 67 about ten years ago, been working on it for about five & Mite be time to sell it so if anybody is interested please let me Know hope you enjoy these pics !
All great pictures here, The 67 Charger is what started my affair for Mopars, The interior alone is something but ill never forget the first night i drove mine, those dash lights are and especially back in those days were something to behold! I like that spoiler/wing, i think i remember a thread discussing those here.. They really add to the looks of these cars, in my opinion..
this color is absolutely gorgeous what exactly is it ? it looks like burnt orange... i freakin love it, beautiful
That is a slick lookin' ride! Is it back on the road? Are you planning putting those wheels back on, l like those. Anything special in the motor? Reed
