Hi Guys,

While undergoing some quick maintenance on my 66 Belvedere II 2dr, I was lubricating the doors before installing new door panels. However, I noticed that my DRIVERS side door does not latch properly. The latch wheel can ratchet backwards with a solid CLICK, but can be move forward about 1/2" with my fingers ….not allowing the door to have a solid latch. I was expecting it to have a solid CLICK with no forward movement. My right side does a solid CLICK and it stable, but the drivers side appears to be faulty. I was wondering if anyone might have a driver’s side latch assembly that you might want to part with? I believe the Mopar part number to be #2486241. Research tells me that it is installed on most 64-67 B-Body cars, but could be mistaken. My pic is attached.

Anyone have one they want to sell?

Thanks
Rick

Here are some pictures of the latch, it's from a 4 door driver side latch if you think it will work for you $25.00 shipped

Hi RT.....from looking at my pic, I see the screws all are in the same place. Further looking at my pic has another hole about the 10 o'clock position. ( I assume this to be some sort of adjustment or inspection area--don't know). In your pic, that same hold is about the 7 o'clock position. Are these the same? Will a 4-door latch work on a 2-dr? I await your thoughts.
Thanks
Rick
