I am in the market for a set of headers for a 66' Coronet 440, BB (440 RB).

#1: It is a column shift car; will I need a torque shaft to step over the header?
#2: I know tti makes some good stuff, but does anyone have another suggestion for a 3/8 flange, ceramic coated header that isn't pushing a $1,000 price tag at the end of the day? Are Doug's headers the next best thing? I am mainly concerned about fitment and longevity.

Thanks in advance.
