Hi All,
I have a 66 Coronet, original 318 poly.
I'm building a 383 from a 67 Polara.
I understand that I can use the K frame but what do I have to do to the motor mounts?
I also will be using the 727 trans from the Polara. Can I use the driveshaft from the 318 Poly or the Polara?
Thanks, DJBR

Your 66 poly should still have the 727. so your driveshaft will fit. Motor mounts will from the Polara as well. That c body radiator will also fit if your opening is the same, 22" or 26". Find some good HP manifolds, and your off! From the trans forward that Polara thinks it is a B body.

I did this to a 67 coronet once, a long time ago. It had a poly 318 and I went to a 75 400/727. I had to cut the drive shaft, but I don't remember the specifics. The non HP manifolds most likely will work too if you are on a budget.

I also am pretty sure that the motor mounts from the Polara will work.

Good luck.
